Acknowledgment

 Acknowledgment untuk tesis..

Thesis saya belum siap lagi, tapi acknowledgment dah siap dah..:-)

Pak Tim kata ok, so kira boleh lah macam ni. Ringkas satu muka surat sahaja.

Semoga tesis saya akan direalisasikan dlam masa terdekat.. insya Allah.. ameen ya rabbal a'lamin.

 Inilah rupa acknowledgment saya..

Alhamdulillahi rabb al’alamin. I thank God for making it possible for me to complete this thesis: a long, complicated and challenging work. I would like to express my special gratitude to my supervisors, Prof Abdullah Saeed and Prof Tim Lindsey for their assistance, enormous support, commitment and advice throughout my studies. Many thanks go also to the staff of Asia Institute, Faculty of Arts and the Centre for Islamic Law and Society (CILS), Law School for their support especially Tessa, Leena and Claire.

I also would like to express my gratitude to several funding sources that have supported me throughout my studies, namely the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) which awarded a scholarship to undertake my PhD in Australia with my family. My gratitude also goes to Prof Tim Lindsey’s ARC Federation Fellowship, Federation Fellowship Fieldwork Scholarships for supporting my two months fieldwork in Malaysia (17 March 2011-17 May 2011).

My gratitude also goes to Associate Prof Dr Muhammad Rahimi Osman, the Director of Centre for Islamic Thought and Understanding (CITU), UiTM, Malaysia for his strong support for me in furthering my studies in Australia. I also thank my parents, Hashim and  Gayah, parents-in-law, Abd Jalil and Noriah, siblings, colleagues and friends who have always encouraged, and continually prayed for my success. Thanks must also be directed to all key informants who have all provided me with invaluable information.  Last but not least, I thank my husband, Mohd Fairuz and my daughter Aisyah Fairuz for their enormous support, understanding and encouragement. Being in the company of my husband and my daughter in Australia has truly made my life more colourful and meaningful.
